Character Details

Zarda is a member of the Utopians culture upon Utopia Isle - a refuge free from poverty, injustice and discrimination as well as war or crime.
Once a simple human-like race, Kree genetic experiments elevated them into a powerful race of superhuman beings.
The Utopians kept themselves isolated away from humanity for fear that their influence would adversely affect other cultures.
During World War 2 an American ship was sunk not far from their hidden island and the only survivor, a sailor named Howard Sheldon washed up on the island's shores.
Through talking with this human, the Utopians learned of the world war. In an effort to help the world avoid further catastrophe, Zarda freely left the island and joined the Golden Agency and aided the Allies along with Professor Imam and Blue Eagle.
After learning of the American atomic program's success, the Utopians feared the obliteration it could cause and they fled the Earth in a starship built from the technology within their city.
Zarda refused to turn her back on humanity, becoming an ambassador instead. While the nations of the world cared little for her doctrines, they accepted her aid as a superheroine.
Joining Squadron Supreme as Power Princess, she teamed up with Skymax, Nighthawk, Dr Spectrum, Amphibian, Whizzer, and Hyperion.
After the war Zarda and Howard were wed though his normal human aging was a sort of concern and distress for the nearly immortal Utopian. When Howard eventually died, Zarda was wooed and became interested in Hyperion. She did not initially realize he was an imposter and the one who had killed her husband.
After the true Hyperion returned, the two became friends and then more as they continued to serve in Squadron Supreme, eventually getting engaged.
