Postcon

Post Continuity FCs are Feature Characters that have not been introduced in the comics by our cutoff (publication date 1992). Although our theme has modernized the Marvel Universe - thanks to a sliding time scale - the post-con characters are just coming out of the box. Meaning, they haven't any IC or canon history.

Post Continuity FCs also have no historical significance to the game, unless the significance of that character is noted in their origin and can be included without violating already-approved characters and established IC continuity. Their origin has to match up to the cause and effect of the Marvel continuity at present. An exmaple of cause and effect being the fact that Carnage was created by Venom. Since Venom has not created Carnage in our continuity, Carnage cannot exist. If Venom exists in-game, and is willing to pursue a plotline to create Carnage, then Carnage and Venom can speak with Staff to arrange that TP, and Carnage can then be apped, but can only be approved pending the completion of that TP.

Post Continuity FCs start off with the power sets and power levels they possessed at their introduction within the comics. They will not be allowed to have powers or power levels that later evolved as the comic continued. The only exception is that characters who had no powers at their introduction in the comics may start off with the power sets and power levels they possessed when they first obtained their powers in the comics. They still will not be allowed to have powers or power levels that evolved after they first developed powers.

They are also tabula rasa. Meaning that without the corruption of IC or canon events, they are able to be molded by the experiences you give them during role-play. Just keep the overall feel/theme of the character (base personality, powers, and so on) and you're free to grow them from a sprout to the pretty flower that they can become.
