Havok's Office

Kurt and Alex discuss recent Dani encounter.

Social or Plot:

-----==[ Havok's Office - Xavier Mansion ]==----------------------------------

This is a generous sized office. The lower half of the walls are a deep mahogany wainscoting with the upper half decorated with a buttery colored textured wallpaper. Covering the floor is a plush carpet that matches the wallpaper.

Tasteful paintings hang in a cluster on the right wall and against the wall to the left is a leather sofa with another painting hung above.

In front of the office visitor is a couple of wingback chairs in rich earth tones that face a wooden desk on which sits a computer monitor and other desk things. Behind the desk is a leather chair and a hutch topped credenza decorated with plants, personal photos and books.

"Dude, remember the thing that I said I wasn't going to try with Dani?"

That's the question presented to Kurt from Alex as they sit within his office socializing. Alex is dressed casually, he's not expecting combat and is actually taking a break.

Kurt is dressed towards casual as well, the sort of sweats casual that could lend to training on a routine basis, but is also comfortable for munching on cereal in big bowls. "The thing were you ask her to punch you in the face, or the one where you like her but wouldn't do that because of you being team leader and respecting her valuable input so you don't actually make a move on her thing?" Half a smile from the elf.

"Bitch." Alex says with a grin and the shake of his head. "When I followed her in from the pool we were a little loose and I kinda got too close. Nothing happened. But it almost did and I stopped myself when I realized what was going on because she totally looked uncomfortable."

A nod as he listens, Kurt responding, "If you stopped yourself and nothing happened, then why the concern." Shifting in his place, he rubs at his hear, still a slight grin, "I mean, it sounds more like she looked uncomfortable in that moment, but your questioning if she really was now?"

"Nervous, looked both ways and backed away some. Like a deer in the headlights about to run." Alex notes trying to describe the situation.

Considering that for the moment, Kurt responds "What about before that, I mean, you feel it almost happened, was there some queue that she might of been interested? I mean, I don't think you stalked her, ambushed her and put her up against the wall then suddenly realized she wasn't comfortable ...?"

Alex isn't sure how to answer that... then he quietly says, "Fuck." and lowers his head.

A smile all the same, Kurt shakes his head as if not to be so hard on the situation. "Nein fruend .... look at it this way, there were signs, it might of turned out fun then in that moment. Though, worse, after some beers, then waking up, would it have been a drunken regret? I'd see how Dani reacts after this, don't over think it, watch for those signs again. I hate to say it, but maybe Lorna and your relationship has you overthinking these things now?"

Leaning back in his chair, Alex lets out a chuckle... "You think?" he queries rhetorically the statement of Lorna's effect on him and elaborates. "You know... I will always love Lorna. I mean she was my first /true/ what ever. But seriously, she's hard to deal with. And that really taught me to mind my words otherwise she'd go off on me faster than I could realize what I had said."

"Dani might as well," offers Kurt, but shakes his head a little, "But with Dani, I think she'd only be honest with you. I think she'd prefer the same honesty. We'll have to have another pool party before fall is here, or a little campfire for smores again. See what comes of it. I would think, just go with whatever happens. Don't over think and don't play into it because you know you like Dani. Whatever fun you two were having before that moment, it was fun for her too and probably you just being yourself."

There is a shift in his posture to the right arm of his chair (leaning upon it with his elbow), he nods and says, "Cool." with a general word offering general acceptance of all that was just said.

Grinning then, with a hint of a chuckle in Kurt's voice, "I think its the strong and independent nature around Dani that intrigues you the most, fruend. Ja, rather than mix words, she'll use a fist. Not far off from how you feel at times." Not even trying to imply Alex would hit a woman, but in tense situation, that tends to be conflict resolution Summers style.

Alex smiles and rubs his jaw, "She's got a nice arm." and then stands, "Let's go get something to eat."
