-----==[ Training Level - X-Factor Tower/Ship ]==-----------------------------

With the same concept in mind, the Training Center of X-Factor Tower/Ship is very much like the Danger Room. However, instead of a control booth, one steps off the elevator into a large holodeck like area that extends over several floors and perhaps the width of the tower/ship itself. All terminal interactions and programming are voice based and if a terminal is needed, a holographic terminal is produced.
This room is capable of creating any environment known to Ship and generate challenges found in the database. Additionally, challenge levels can be set right along with safety protocols that prevent injury and death can also be established. Just say the word, and let the games begin.

[EL] - Elevator - X-Factor Tower/Ship

Kitty was waiting for Rush, she'd already programmed a training routine in but at the moment she was casually relaxing on a chez as she worked some oil into lockheed's hide, the dragon in a relaxed puddle on her lap as she wore her xfactor costume: a midriff with wdge sneakers

Rush steps into the training room, dressed in what looks like pseudo-military garb but is probably just cast-offs found in army surplus stores. He looks around the inside of the room, the nods at Kitty. "All right...bring it."

Chuckling Kitty shakes her head "Have a seat first, time to bring you up to speed on things. you go full speed and you'll wear yourself out. So what do you know about X-factor?"

Rush looks around briefly, then drops to the floor, legs stretched out in front of him as if he's going to start stretching. "Uh...lessee, word is they started out as some kind of mutant-catching team. Only then it turned out that they were mutants, so it was this big thing. They saved downtown from getting flattened by this SHIP." He pats the deck with the palm of one hand. "Then I guess for a while they were working for the government? Only all the member of the team changed..."

Kitty laughs as she massages the oil into lockheed who was crooning happily "Is that what they're saying about us? Geez how things get so wrong. Ok well before I joined x-factor they were government backed anf funded, they tracked down and caught mutants who were too dangerous for society. We didn't know that the mutants were sent to neverland, a mutant concentration camp, those mutants with useful powers were kept alive and enslaved, those that weren't seen as useful were killed. when we found out we put a stop to it and then government claimed they didn't know about it and praised us for ending the program. SHIPa wasn't about to flatten mutant town, she /loves/ mutants and has a strong distaste for nonmutants. the members of the team didn't change when they denied government backing, we just became independant and I joined. Before I joined x-factor I was in britain, with yes captain britain and several others, kurt and I founded excalibr over there, the equivalent of the avengers for europe. I've been doing this sort of thing since I was 13, and this dragon can fight as well as any of us. Lockheed is quite capable, he's an alien that stowed away in some of my luggage from a mission" the ships voice comes over the comes 'Thank you rush'

Rush nods slowly as he takes all that in. Finally he whistles. "Okay...well, nice to know the real story. So if -used- to be funded by the government...who's payin' the bills now?"

Kitty shrugs with a grin "Well that's why we went on a mission and almost had to fght superpowered mutants called deviants. They're us on steroids but way uglier, probably an older race and they have more advanced tech then us but they hate us so they stay away from humans and mutants. I picked up SHIP's signal and we went to get her, woke up her systems and she took our side, scaring off the deviants. Then she unphased herself from the ground and we all poofed into outer space to sort things out and landed here in mutant town where she transformed into a tower" to kitty it was all very simple. "All our needs are provided for by SHIPa"

Rush's head is practically spinning by now. "Uh...right. So you guys ever have any adventures or stuff like that here on Earth? You know, like in the city or something?"

Is familiar with the glassy eyed look "Think of SHIP and our expenses like star trek. And yes we do have missions on earth, sometimes in space too. recently we went into space and came back saved mutant town from getting cured of their mutancy"

Rush tries to think of it that way, but you can tell he can't quite get his head around such concepts. Yet. "Well, I knew things would be different 'round here, so I guess I'll just try to take 'em as they come." He does stretch now, clasping his hands under his knees and then tugging his upper body down to stretch his back and legs. "Just let me know when you want to get started with the training stuff."

Kitty nods as she gets up off her seat with lockheed reluctantly perching on her shoulder with a look of 'aw already?', spoiled dragon "So you think you're ready to handle anything?"

Shadowcat says, "Shipa, training program 125 please?"

Kitty smiles as the entire room changes and the scene appears, central park at night and cxrowded like normal.

Rush stares this way and that, then touches a bench and a few bushes experimentally. "This is something else," he remarks. He takes a few steps over to where Kitty is, looking around at the 'people' in the scene. "So we're supposed to, what - fight some of these guys?"

Everything down to the soft breeze that blew that smell of hotdogs from a vendor's cart in the near distance, the noises of chatter...even the bushes and bench felt real and solid. Kitty grins and shakes her head "these are civilains, enjoy yourself" grinning she slowly started to disappear as she phases out.

Rush nods in understanding, then mutters something about 'escort missions' under his breath. He peers this way and that now, trying to get over his fascination with how realistic the scene is, and instead concentrate on what might be the threat to these civilians.

Suddenly there's a woman's scream from somewhere behind Rush. A few more follow, along with the crash of a tree falling.
