Log:
With Rush passed out on the floor, Alex takes the opportunity to ask, "Well, what do you guys think?".

Turning to look at Alex, Kurt says, "Great guy, very willing, has the right skill set." Its that simple, then he does add in, "But the vigilante thing. We have to make sure he stops that, not that we have a good public opinion, being mutants, but a mutant of his ... strength ... beating up regular human thugs, that wouldn't be a good press release."

Sure, Dani could fire off a powerful psiarrow an immediatly wake the hopeful teen up, but since it seems they will be using this time to discuss the showing Rush put on she refrains. "He can take a beating at least." she leans a hip on the table "My main concern is maturity and the risk of him becoming a fame whore."

Turning to look at Alex, Kurt chimes in with Dani, "Great guy, very willing, has the right skill set." Its that simple, then he does add in, "But aside from teh fame whore, there is that the vigilante thing. We have to make sure he stops that, not that we have a good public opinion, being mutants, but a mutant of his ... strength ... beating up regular human thugs, that wouldn't be a good press release."

After taking in what the others stated, Alex nods and glances down to the fallen figure. Not sure about the stats on the applicant (aside from physical), Alex questions, "I'm pretty sure we can reel him in on the vigilante stuff by giving him a focus. But; How old is he?"

Picking his application up from the pile on the table, Mirage scans it "According to this 19. Like I said maturity concern." she assumes if he was going to lie about his age he would have went older, and she did warn him about honesty and background checks in their earlier talk.

"While there is the issue of maturity, he's at least trained himself," intones Kurt, "I mean, not like the New Mutants exactly, where Charles picked everyone up as soon as their mutation revealed itself ... he has some real world experience, just has more learning to do."

"Guess then if he checks out legally, and we're comfortable with him in our question/answer part of the interview, he's our guy." notes Alex in a reflective considerate tone. Then adds, "And believe me, I won't miss this interview process."

"Me either, especially the temper tantrum portions." Mirage states in agreement, "Which is saying something for him, he hasn't shied away or complained about anything that has been thrown at him, despite his nerves." she flips through the remaining applicants that are still waiting "He may be out for awhile, want me to go send the rest away?

"I feel bad sending them away," says Kurt, "Can Ship make duplicates of us, and set up a fake interview, then send them home and mail our rejection letters next week - with christmas chocolates or something?" He's actually serious, well, maybe not the X-mas cookies bit. "Can we wake him up, shoot him with the wake up arrow ..."

Alex grins and shares the same sentiment as Kurt, "Yeah, let's get SHIP to handle the interviews. Maybe he'll find someone that stands out, plus, we'll have lengthy documentation of mutants that if there's any legal or criminal issues in the future, we have a good starting point."

A nod is given to Kurt "I could do that, but it would mess up the results of the test." Dani glances down at the prone young man "Must be his first time. It's always the hardest." at the mention of ditching the rest of the interviews and letting Ship do them she makes a face that implys that she isn't altogether taken with the idea, "Fine, but only because I doubt there will be any winners in the last batch. I've read through the applications and no one stood out.

Kurt nods to both, relaxing in his patio/poolside chair. "So ... we wait. I'm not keeping time on how long he's out. Big guy, yes, sharpest tool in shed, not quite. We'll just have to keep the pyschic arrows away from him."
