Character Details
-1984, Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin is born on a farming community known as the Ust-Ordynski Collective near Lake Baikal, Siberia. He is the second child of Nikolai and Alexandra and younger brother of Mikhail.
- On Piotr's eighth birthday his brother, Mikhail, gets his little brother his first sketch pad. Excited by the gift, Piotr starts drawing everything he sees. And is thoroughly bitten by the art bug.
-Not long after Piotr turned ten, Illyana is born and lovingly welcomed into the Rasputin family. Piotr quickly becomes very protective of his little sister, even giving her the nickname 'Little Snowflake'.
-A few years after Illyana's birth, Mikhail would join the military with his heart set on becoming a cosmonaut. Piotr was hart broken to see his older brother leave home.
-Two years after Mihail enlisted, the Rasputin's received dire news. Mikhail was killed during a training mission. Distraught over his brothers death, Piotr runs off to be alone. It's then that in a fit of rage his mutant ability emerges in the form of metallic skin and enhanced strength.
-At age 16, while working the fields with his father, A tractor loses control and barrels towards Illyana. Instinctively Piotr runs, transforms into his metallic skin and jumps in front of the tractor. Saving Illyana and demolishing the tractor in the process.
-Days later a man named Professor Charles Xavier tracks Piotr down to the Collective and offers him a full scholarship to his private school in the United States called the Xavier Institute. There Piotr would get an education as well as learn control of power. After talking it over with his family, Piotr accepts the offer and travels with Xavier to Westchester, New York.
-Over the following years Piotr became more then the farmer he had though he was destined to be. He would go on to graduate with a general studies as well as receive a degree in art. He would even teach art classes at the Institute. But above all he became a member of the 'outlaw' mutant team known as the X-Men under the codename: Colossus.
-However tragedy would strike, when the Institute is attacked by an unknown assailant. In the after math of the attack the Institute would end up being destroyed and both Professor Xavier and Jean Grey missing. But even worse was the hole of despair that Scott Summers, leader of the X-Men, fell into. Now without the brains, heart and soul missing it was obvious that everything would fall apart. And fall apart it did.
-After the fall out of losing the Institute, Piotr decides to return to Russia to take care of his family. Upon his return he his parents were indeed happy to see him as was his little sister Illyana, who had grown quite a bit since he last saw her. It was easy to to fall back into the farm life for Piotr. Seeing that nothing had changed since he left years earlier. Though the farm had fallen into disrepair, due to the fact his father wasn't as young as he used to be. Thankfully Piotr never backed away from a little hard work and needed some help to return his home back to the way he remembered it.
-A year after arriving back home, Piotr received a communication from Henry McCoy, the X-man called Beast. He told Piotr that the X-Men were reforming and asked if he would like to return to help. Piotr regrettably declined the offer. Wanting to stay with his family who needed his help more.
-Time on the farm flew by. In time Piotr started to wonder how things were going back at the Institute. And with the situation on the farm stabilized enough, Piotr decides it's time for him to head back.
-Upon his return to the United States, Piotr was dragged into a battle between good and evil along with many of the X-Men and other heroes. The war was quickly ended and things went back to normal. But what's normal for a man who can turn into metal?
