< end file >
* Detached - She is a blunt, honest person with a tendency toward hyper-logical analysis of the world. In the world of human interaction, X-23 is a living machine. She is cold, collected, and clinical - and utterly at a loss when it comes to handling emotions on the whole.
* Reserved - She is a reserved person, rarely speaking and even more rarely speaking of herself or her origins. An aloof entity, she glides like oil over the tide of humanity - never quite mingling, no matter how much she tries.
* Reckless - When it comes to herself and her well-being, she couldn't care less; she cuts herself in times of stress and will throw herself in to certain death situations because it doesn't matter, in the end, if she lives or dies.
* Selfless - By the same token, she will do anything to protect those she loves most. She is a loyal soul to those few that have earned her trust and, for that loyalty, she will lay everything out on the line.
* Survivor - And, no matter what, she will survive. Despite flinging herself recklessly into death-defying danger, she will claw her way out - and with a vengeance. Because for as much as she feels her fate doesn't matter, her instincts will always pull her out in the end.
REGENERATION: Much like her gene-donor Logan, Laura has a potent healing factor. Most minor injuries heal within seconds; larger ones may take several minutes to repair. She is able to reattach severed limbs if done quickly enough and, if all else fails, she can regrow limbs entirely though doing so takes some time.
CLAWS: She has a total of six adamantium-laced and fully retractable claws: two in each hand and one in each foot. They are virtually unbreakable and can cut through almost anything - save for adamantium and Captain America's shield.
IMMUNITY: Her healing factor does more than just heal obvious wounds - it also renders her immune to diseases, infections, and the vast majority of drugs and toxins.
ENHANCED SENSES: All five of her standard senses - sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing - are heightened to a superhuman degree. Her sight is exceptionally clear and her senses of hearing and smell are on par with most canines. Her sense of touch and taste are highly refined to allow her to feel and taste things that most people wouldn't notice.
ENHANCED PHYSIOLOGY: All of her physical traits - strength, speed, reflexes, balance, and so forth - are heightened to a superhuman degree. Her traits don't tip into the extremes, but she is able to hold her own against most other super-powered individuals - if only on the short-term.
FACILITY: She has access to the Facility's facilities - within reason. The Facility ensures she has any supplies and weapons needed to finish her assigned mission; they also provide a stipend and pay for any housing costs that might be necessary. Vehicles and/or transportation are also provided. She has no possessions of her own, however; everything she has is, ultimately, the property of the Facility.
CUTTER: She is a self-mutilator and will cut herself in times of stress. While her injuries leave no scars, the act of cutting is an indicator of deeper mental distress that could very well spiral wildly out of control if left unchecked.
SCENT TRIGGER: The Facility has conditioned her to respond in a blind, berserker rage to a very specific scent - one that (so far) only they can produce. She cannot fight the urge to kill everything in her immediate vicinity until the scent has cleared from the area. If anyone were to get hold of a sample of this scent, things could get extremely ugly - extremely quickly.
ORIGIN: As a clone that was raised in a facility with minimal human interaction and zero emotional connection, she's less than prepared to deal with most social situations. Being a clone, she has identity issues; being effectively parentless, she has other issues that run much deeper. She lacks context for pop culture and doesn't have the necessary tools to navigate through the minefield that is social interaction with strangers. She's a stranger in a strange land - all over again.
FACILITY: The Facility is her creator and, once again, her keeper. If she ever slips their leash again, retribution will be swift and brutal. They had the means to make her, the means to capture her, and the means to break her - and they will not hesitate to do it again if they need to. She's too valuable to destroy outright, but she might make a fine guinea pig if she falls into their bad graces again.
More than the Facility, Kimura is her greatest foe and weakness. Kimura has sworn to kill everyone X-23 has ever known - and there is no doubt that she will hold to that promise. She is, once more, X-23's abusive handler... but if X ever slips her leash again, Kimura will be the first to destroy any fledgling life that the clone tries to cobble together.
MEMORY: Her memory is in shambles. The Facility has learned from previous failures and, upon X-23's recapture, has stripped her memory and blotted out the parts that might make her disobedient. Her training remains intact, but any memories of former friends - and enemies - or earlier kills have been effectively wiped out. Some memories might be restored - in particular, the older memories she's replayed repeatedly in the years between her escape and recapture - but the rest is likely to be a mess of corrupted memories, not unlike trying to recover something from a severely damaged hard disk. This means she can't remember her friends, the name of her birth mother, or even those she killed before she was "rebooted".
