Character Details

Most of Bullseye's history remains a mystery. His real name could be Lester or Leonard. He has also used the alias of Benjamin Poindexter before. When asked, he simply says his name is Bullseye. Some versions of his background have him watching as his brother burned the apartment where they lived as kids while another version says it was Bullseye that set the fire. When Bullsye speaks of his past, it is usually to get a reaction from his listener and thus may have a nugget of truth but is mostly lies to throw someone off the track. He may have been a baseball pitching prospect at one point, but was thrown out when he killed a man "accidently" with the ball. He may have been an agent for NSA that had operations in Central America and then in New York City in an attempt to bring down the Kingpin. What he is now is a freelance assassian who will work for whomever is paying the bills and lets him kill which is all he really enjoys doing.
Highlights of documented career:

-He gained notority during an extortion attempt with the Daily Bugle. The scheme was eventually ruined by Daredevil.

-He was hired to kill Matt Murdock, but was defeated by Daredevil.

-Bullseye became obsessed with Daredevil, who he saw as having ruined his reputation, and took any opportunity to try and trap and kill the Man Without Fear. Time and again, Bullseye was defeated by Daredevil.

-Developed a brain tumor that caused him to hallucinate everyone as his arch enemy. He was finally arrested and had the tumor removed in prison. He later used an on air interview to kill the interview and several guards as he escaped.

-He tried to return to the Kingpin, who had been a major employeer, only to find out that the Kingpin had hired Elektra in his place. He killed Elektra which drove Daredevil into an almost homicidal rage. Bullseye fell from a high wire during the fight and broke nearly every bone in his body.

-A Japanese crime lord, Lord Dark Wind, attempted to gain Bullseye as an employee. He was able to get Bullseye's bones laced with adamantium so that Bullseye could walk once more. Rather then serve Lord Dark Wind, Bullseye left to return to New York City. He is determined to destroy Daredevil.

-Returning to New York City, Bullseye has attempted to regain his role as Kingpin's chief assassian. He believed he killed the Red Skull in order to regain the Kingpin's good graces although the Skull turned out to be a robot. He crossed paths with Captain America and Crossbones without a decisive victory or defeat in either case.
